Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan posted a heartfelt message for his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders despite their 14-run loss to SunRisers Hyderabad in Eden Gardens. The Raees actor praised the entire team for its superb show in the eleventh season of Indian Premier League.
Chasing 175, KKR went all guns blazing courtesy of Sunil Narine and Chriss Lynn but fell short of 14 runs and registered 160/9. Even though Kolkata Knight Riders didn’t make it to the finals of IPL 2018, they put a strong performance throughout the season.
Shah Rukh Khan appreciated the efforts of the players and called KKR an awesome team. ''Well was not to be. Will have to cancel my flight but KKR well done. U did yourself proud. All of u so so well done. Love you & yes I am smiling. Thks for the entertainment & so many moments of glory. V r an awesome team!’’, SRK wrote on Instagram.Â
KKR opener Chris Lynn thanked Shah Rukh Khan and the management for their support and said the team would come back bigger and stronger.

The Chennai Express actor also praised KKR skipper Dinesh Kartik for being a fabulous leader. King Khan, even though was not able to attend some of his team matches due to his jam-packed schedule, always supported KKR through messages and videos.

Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy with the shooting of his much-awaited film Zero. The Aanand L Rai directorial which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma will hit the silver screens on December 21.
