John Abraham was once brazenly ‘prejudiced’ and called a Slumdog Millionaire for being an Indian. According to India Today, an entrainment website reported that the Romeo Akbar Walter actor was, in a very prejudiced remark called a Slumdog Millionaire after seeing his passport held an Indian nationality.

"I remember someone asked me once... He saw my passport, and he said, Slumdog Millionaire. I said, 'No, millionaire.' Not for any other reason, but because I can buy you out and my country can buy you out today. We rule, Indians rule," he is reported to have told an entertainment website, as per India Today.

In an exclusive interaction with Times Now, ZoomTV.com, Abraham opened up about the rise of patriotism and nationalism on screen stating that his choice of patriotic themes can be delineated in his choices adding that it's by default and not by design. Abraham, in the interview also added that he's happy if there's a sense of patriotism.  “It's by default, and not by design. If there's a sense of patriotism, I am happy, John said in the interview with ZoomTV.com.

Talking about patriotic roles, John Abraham will once again be seen in Robbie Grewal’s Romeo Akbar Walter believed to be inspired by true events. The spy thriller also features Mouni Roy, Jackie Shroff, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Sikander Kher in key roles.
