'Jolly LLB 2': Akshay Kumar gets his first Rs 100 crore movie of 2017

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is rolling high on the success of his last release 'Jolly LLB 2' which has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club. The movie which is in the second week of release has made a collection of Rs 100.37 cr so far.

Interestingly, 'Jolly LLB 2' is Akshay's first release of the year. However, it is Akki's fourth consecutive movie to enter the Rs 100 crore club.

In 2015, Akshay's all three releases - 'Airlift', 'Housefull 3' and 'Rustom' had been a part of the honourable squad.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the box office collection of 'Jolly LLB 2'.

He wrote, "#JollyLLB2 crosses ₹ 100 cr on Day 12... [Week 2] Fri 4.14 cr, Sat 6.35 cr, Sun 7.24 cr, Mon 2.48 cr, Tue 2.45 cr. Total: ₹ 100.37 cr."

It is indeed a big achievement for the 'Jolly LLB 2' given that the box office had earlier seen movies like 'Raees' and 'Kaabil', which have done phenomenal business at the box office.

A satirical courtroom drama, 'Jolly LLB 2' happens to be the sequel of Arshad Warsi's 2013 release 'Jolly LLB'.
