David Dhawan directorial venture and remake of 1997 superhit film ‘Judwaa’ has been released worldwide. The Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Judwaa 2’ has surpassed Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ first day collection.
Released during the festive season of Dussehra and Durga Puja, ‘Judwaa 2’ is has been opened across 4000 screens worldwide.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took his Twitter handle to share the first day earning of ‘Judwaa 2’ and wrote, “#Judwaa2 pumps oxygen in the lungs of an ailing industry... Has a TERRIFIC Day 1... Fri ? 15.55 cr. India biz’’.

Adding to that, he again tweeted the year’s top 5 films with big openings.
Year 2017 has not brought much good for the Hindi film industry but ‘Judwaa 2’ brought some relief for Bollywood. Only few film has managed to earn big and some of the movies with even big names in the starcast has failed miserably at the box-office including Tubelight, Jab Harry met Sejal and many more.
Some of the movies that has entered in the 100-crore club are Baahubali 2, Raees, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Kaabil, Tubelight, Jolly LLB and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
It will be interesting to see whether Varun Dhawan starrer will manage to perform well throughout the weekend and first week and become 8th film of the year to enter in the 100-crore club.
