Varun Dhawan's much talked about Judwaa 2 has finally released this Friday and the movie has reportedly opened to a positive response at the box office.
Notably, the movie has been the talk of the town as it is remake of Salman Khan's 1997 release Judwaa and Varun has stepped in to the shoes of Sultar star.
Judwaa 2, which was opened on over 3500 screens in India, witnessed a good star with an occupancy of more that 40% in the morning shows combined with rave reviews from audience and critics. And if the media reports are to be believed the movie will make a business of over Rs 15 crore on the opening day.
Bollywood trade analyst Girish Johar took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the early trends of Judwaa 2.
He wrote, "Judwaa 2 Ki Dussehra Opens to a Very Good Start …more than 40% in early shows on a wide release @Varun_dvn @taapsee @Asli_Jacqueline."

Talking about the box office collections of Varun Dhawan starrer, Girish was quoted saying to Indian Express that Judwaa 2 is likely to cross a collection of Rs 50 crore in the opening weekend itself.
“The advance booking for ‘Judwaa 2’ had started on Monday and in some places on Tuesday and the film is getting a fantastic response. I think people are looking forward to seeing Varun Dhawan enacting one of Salman Khan’s famous roles. I assume the film will make as much as Rs 15 crore on the first day. Since the holiday seasons are on, ‘Judwaa 2’ has all the possibilities of crossing the Rs 50 crore mark on Sunday. With Monday being an extended holiday, we can expect the film to do better. It has all the possibilities,†said Girish Johar.
Indeed, hopes are high from the movie and if the media reports turned out to be true Judwaa 2 will become Varun Dhawan’s second hit film this year after Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
Helmed by David Dhawan, Judwaa 2 also stars Taapsee Pannu, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rajpal Yadav in key roles.
