Bollywood’s Queen Kangana Ranaut has always surprised her fans with her different iconic roles in movies such as Tanu Weds Manu, fashion and many more. Now, the national-award winning actress will be seen portraying the role of Rani Laxmibai in Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi.
On the eve of Independence Day, Kangana took to Instagram and shared the first look of this epic film and wrote ‘’Every Country has a hero! Every Legend has a legacy! The Hero of Our Independence. The Warrior, The Queen, The Mother The Rani of Jhansi!’’.

In the picture, Kangana can be seen in a fierce look with a blooded sword in her hand.
Earlier this year, the film was in talks as it faced opposition in the state of Rajasthan by Sarva Brahman Mahasabha accusing the makers for distorting real facts and showcasing a love angle with a British man.
Helmed by Krish, the Kangana Ranaut starrer is slated to hit the theatres on the occasion of Republic Day of 2019. The movie may clash with Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30.
