Renowned Kannada playback singer L N Shastry has passed away in Begaluru on Wednesday. He was battling from intestinal cancer for a while and breathed his last at his residence in Nagarabhavi.
LN Shastry was 46 at the time of his death and is survived by wife Suma Shastry, who too happens to be a singer.
Shashtry, who has composed music for over 25 Kannada movies, got his big break in 1996 from 'Kolumande Jangamadevaru' from the movie 'Janumada Jodi'. He was also bestowed with the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer making him a big singing sensation of the industry.
