Kiara Advani in an interview said that the she is having the best phase in her career and we can't agree anymore. The actress who went unnoticed in MS Dhoni is now a hot property in Bollywood even before the release of a movie where she is seen in lead role.Â
But the wait is finally over. After bagging several roles alongside seasons actors like Akshay Kumar, Sushant Singh Rajput or Shahid Kapoor, the Kabir Singh actress now has very own full-fledged lead film. Kiara has signed up for Abir Sengupta’s Indoo Ki Jawani to play its lead role.
Produced by Nikkhil Advani, Niranjan Iyengar and Ryan Stephen, the coming-of-age film revolves around a feisty girl from Ghaziabad, Indoo Gupta, whose left swipes and right swipes with a dating aap results in hilarious chaos. The film will also be Bengali filmmaker Abir Sengupta’s debut in Bollywood. The movie is expected to go on floors in September this year.
The actress informed the news by posting a picture with the makers of the movie on Instagram. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Kiara said, “Indoo is edgy, lovable and quirky. The dialect is completely new so I’m going to do a lot of workshops to get it right. I can’t wait to start shooting.†She further said that the story is relevant in today’s time and with the character’s background and setting, the film is really exciting.
Director Abir has earlier worked on the detective series, C.I.D and directed a bengali comedy, Jomer Raja Dilo Bor.
Meanwhile, Kiara will be seen next in the upcoming Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh opposite Shahid Kapoor and Akshay -Kareena starrer Good News. She is currently shooting for Vikram Batra biopic titled Sher Shah alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Soon she Laxmmi Bomb, she will also be seen in Good News along with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
