After Half Girlfriend starring Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor in pivotal roles, Mohit Suri is back with an edgy revenge drama. Titled Malang, the film will feature, Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kemmu and Anil Kapoor.
Talking about the film, Mohit said in a statement, ''With Malang, I am essentially returning to genre I enjoy the most. It will be intense, edgy and mad. I hope Malang is as thrilling and exciting an experience for the audience to see as much as it has already been for me.’’
Mohit took to his Instagram account to share this exciting news and also introduced the star cast. He wrote, ‘’Let’s get CRAZY,INTENSE and #MALANG.’’
Malang will be a joint production between Bhushan Kumar’s T-series, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan’s Luv Films, Ankur Garg and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Entertainment.
Bhushan Kumar said, "Malang has the perfect mix of a well written story, beautiful songs and strong characters. After Aashiqui 2, which was a defining film in Mohit, Aditya and even my career as a producer, I am glad to back Mohit's next directorial. We have previously worked with Anil, Kunal and Disha and I am happy they are on board for Malang. We are really excited to get this one rolling.’’
This is for the first time when Disha has been paired opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. However, Aditya has previously worked with Mohit in Aashiqui 2. Also, it’s Mohit’s first collaboration with Disha. The film is slated to hit the screens on Valentine’s Day 2020 and is expected to go on floors in March.Â
