Parineeta Chopra shares a great bond with sister Priyanka Chopra. The actress who is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie Jabariya Jodi with co-star Sidharth Malhotra after giving many hints about her wish to collaborate with the 'desi girl' made a major revelation.
On being asked by News Nation about her plans to work with Priyanka the actress said, "If the correct script comes our way, then we would love to work together. I had recently also said that if any producers or directors are making an action film, we would love to work together on it. We both have spoken a lot about working together, but the script should be correct,”
Jabriya Jodi is set in Bihar. When asked if taking up a movie based in India's hinterland is to claim Priyanka's spot as 'desi girl she could stop gushing about the Quantico actress and said, "What can I say? I think there can be only one Desi Girl in this world, in the industry! I wouldn’t even try to compete (with Priyanka). But we both (Siddharth Malhotra and herself) are very desi in this film. That’s all I would like to say because there is one and only Desi Girl and nobody can take her place,”
Sidharth who was also present at the vent was asked about the recent tiff between Kangana and journalists. The actor keeping a diplomatic stance said, "Media and stars are like old couple. Parineet on th eother hand opined, "Everyone should be responsible about their statements and stay away from confusion."
Parineeti was speaking at the launch of Jabariya Jodi song “Zilla Hilela”.
Jabariya Jodi, based upon the tradition of groom kidnapping, prevalent in Bihar reunites Parineeti and Sidharth five years after the romantic comedy Hasee Toh Phasee. Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and directed by Prashant Singh, Jabariya Jodi will arrive in theaters on August 2.
