Ranbir Kapoor, after the scheduled wrap of Alia Bhatt-starrer Brahmastra, is gearing up for his next film with Befikre star Vaani Kapoor. While people across the globe will be singing the happy tunes of Christmas, the actor will be immersed into the busy schedules of Karan Malhotra directorial Shamshera. The actor, along with the leading lady, will be working through the gala festive season without taking a break, even on Christmas.

In a report published in Bollywood Hungama, sources from the sets revealed as quoted, “No Christmas holiday for Ranbir and the cast and crew of Shamshera. Karan (Malhotra) and the entire crew have found a great shooting rhythm and they are working at great pace to finish the schedule as planned. The gigantic set that has been created for Ranbir will also need to be altered for the second schedule so the entire crew is working on a tight deadline to wrap the shoot and then start construction for the second schedule. Ranbir and Vaani are the two primary cast members who would not get a break on Christmas.”
The Rockstar actor will be donning a fresh new avatar for the upcoming film. Set in the backdrop of heartland India, the Yash Raj Films production will be an action entertainer, with larger-than-life action sequences. The filmmakers plan to wrap the Shamshera shoots by mid-2019. The Karan Malhotra directorial is slated to release on July 31, 2020.

Meanwhile, Brahmastra will mark the third collaboration of Ranbir and Ayan after their two other successful ventures namely Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
The fantasy drama has also brought the rumoured adorable couple – Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor – in limelight. Bollywood belle Alia and beau Ranbir have been sending their fans into a tizzy with constant updates about their whirlwind romance and giving away some major relationship goals. Although the couple has not officially accepted or denied their commitment towards each other, fans and fellow B-town celebrities cannot stop gushing about their love life.
The rumours of them dating started making rounds ever since they began working together on Brahmastra.
The film will see Amitabh, Ranbir and Alia to share the silver screen together, for the first time.
The movie is scheduled to release in 2019.
