After the first look of 'Padmavati' took the social networking sites by storm a couple of days ago, lead actor Ranveer Singh too has joined the bandwagon to cheer the fans further.
Actually, the 'Bajirao of Bollywood' was spotted out of the city airport in a new, clean-shaven look earlier this month, and the jaw-dropping transformation of the handsome hunk set the internet on fire.
After creating much buzz with his all-new attractive avatar, Ranveer on Friday confirmed that none but his forthcoming film 'Padmavati' is the reason behind the transformation.
"I shaved off my beard to shoot young Alauddin's portion and I really miss my beard," Ranveer was quoted while interacting with IANS on Friday at GQ Awards.
"There are lots of expectations with 'Padmavati'... Film is shaping up really well. I am very excited about the film," he stated further.
Deepika's majestic look in the first poster of the film has won millions of hearts and the diva is seen donning the traditional Rajasthani attire with exquisite jewellery and bare minimum make-up.

Talking about the first look of the period drama 'Padmavati' Ranveer said, "Now slowly material will start to come. Deepika's look has been launched then Shahid's and my look will also be out and after that trailer of the film will get release."
Also starring Shahid Kapoor in a key role, the story of 'Padmavati' revolves around the life of legendary 13th-14th century Indian Rajput queen Padmini, popularly known as Rani Padmavati.
With Deepika Padukone in the titular role of the film, the film features Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Jim Sarbh, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
While Ranveer will be seen playing Alauddin Khilji in the flick, Shahid is leaving no stone unturned to do justice with the character of Rana Rawal Ratan Singh.

Helmed and produced by film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati is scheduled to hit the screens on December 1, 2017.
