Saif Ali Khan, who recently sparked a controversy after he expressed his concern over daughter Sara's Bollywood debut, has cleared the air about his rumoured tiff with ex-wife Amrita Singh and said that reports of disagreement were completely fictitious. It was reported that Amrita was quite miffed with Saif's 'irresponsible' comment on Sara's Bollywood debut after he stated that this was not the kind of career any parent would choose for their child.
The media reports also suggested that Amrita has slammed Nawab of Pataudi for such a remark. However, Saif clarified that no such conversation happened between him and his ex-wife.
The actor also asserted that he and Amrita are on the same page when it comes to being concerned about their daughter, who will be stepping in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kedarnath' opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.

"Amrita and me are on the same page as far as Sara and her acting debut is concerned. We never had any such a conversation. I am fully supportive of Sara's acting ambitions and we discuss things in detail," said said in a statement.
He further added, "I repeat, that I am looking forward to Sara's debut with a mix of excitement, anxiety and nervousness like any other father would."
Interestingly, Saif had also stated that his comments were also misquoted by the media and said that he does support Sara
"It's annoying when you give a nice interview and people pick up one line and talk about it; it's irritating. I support my daughter and I love her. I think her choice is great. Of course, she is an actress and she comes from a family of artistes. I am still a little concerned for her as it's an unsure profession. I love her so I worry for her," Saif has said in IIFA press conference.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan will be next seen in Akshat Verma's directorial debut 'Kaalakaandi', which is slated to release on September 8. Besides, he will also be seen in the remake of Hollywood comedy drama 'Chef', which is expected to release in October this year.
