Megastar Amitabh Bachchan's 'Sarkar 3', which created a lot of buzz in the tinselvile, is back in the headlines but this time because of its writer Ramkumar Singh as he has announced his next gangster drama. According to the media reports, Singh has clarified that he is looking forward to pen a script on Nagaur gangster Anandpal who was recently encountered by the police.
The 'Sarkar 3' gangster took it to social networking site Facebook and wrote, “Before anyone else in Bollywood does it, let me announce, I plan to make a film on Anandpal.”
Talking about the movie, Ramkumar told DNA that Anandpal's life is a perfect plot for a movie has it has all angles of mystery, love and intrigue. Besides, since Singh hail from Shekhawati in Rajasthan, he know a lot about the illicit liquor business.
“My childhood was spent in Shekhawati and because of its proximity to Haryana the illegal liquor business has always thrived. I know a lot of people who are in this business. There are stories about the gangs and their members which are told and retold/ “There is particular psyche about that belt regarding illegal liquor trade and havala. It’s a different world, and no writer can find more fertile soil and plot for his story. Dariya, Nyangli, Godara, Theth are all interesting characters. But Anandpal is different; his life of crime is interwoven with mystery, love, intrigue. It is the perfect plot,” Ramkumar was quoted saying to DNA.
He further added tha while he'll have to do an extensive research work for the movie, he is working on seek permission from Anandpal's family for the biopic.
"I will have to do a lot of research and I am sure to get help from local people for detailing and characterisation. After my announcement I got a lot of calls from people who are willing to provide information about Anandpal and his life, said an excited Singh. But then a biopic comes with its own share of troubles, a permission from the family would be needed. I am in talks with producers and we will have to handle the political connections and patronage angle carefully," Ramkumar added.
