Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been the controversy's favourite child since time immemorial. The social media giant, Twitter India even suspended the singer’s account after social media users accused the 58-year-old singer of using inappropriate and insulting language.

Looks like Abhijeet is still not tired of stirring up a hornet’s nest with his controversial words. At the India Today Safaigiri Summit and Awards 2018, the singer found himself in the eye of the storm again by saying that he made superstars with his voice. Reportedly, the singer further went on to say that till the time he sang for Shah Rukh Khan, he was a rock star. Abhijeet also said that when he stopped singing for Shah Rukh Khan he came down to 'Lungi Dance', as reported.

Talking about the reason behind his fight with King Khan, Abhijeet said that it began during SRK's 2004 release 'Main Hoon Na'.Abhijeet was upset with SRK for not giving the due respect to singers.

"In 'Main Hoon Na', they showed everyone from a spot boy to everyone else, but the singers. The same thing happened with 'Om Shanti Om'," he added.

The singer, who had sung numerous songs for SRK mentioned that he is willing to let bygones be bygones if SRK apologizes to him.

Playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya is well-known for his scathing attacks on B-towns bigwigs. During the controversy surrounding the release of Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Abhijeet tweeted a series of homophobic messages for Johar and Fawad Khan. This time Abhijeet has locked horns with Shah Rukh Khan.

We’re looking forward to what Shah Rukh has to say.

The singer, known for his pro-Hindu stance, is not new to such controversies as he has in the past ranted against Pakistani singers and artists.
