Shah Rukh Khan had won a million of hearts with his performance of an uber cool psychiatrist Jehangir Khan in Alia Bhatt starrer Dear Zindagi. The movie was acclaimed critically and commercially and the pair SRK-Alia's chemistry also got brownie points for the movie.
While we still feel thankful for SRK impressing us as Dr. Jehangir Khan, the superstar has recently revealed that he had a special reason for signing Dear Zindagi.
During a recent event, King Khan stated that the sole reason for him to do this Gauri Shinde-directorial was Alia Bhatt. Khan has never worked with Alia before Dear Zindagi and was keen to share the screen space with the young actress.
“Maine thoda sa kaam kiya hai tumhari saath. Maine Dear Zindagi main isliye kaam kiya kyun ki mujhe tumhare saath kaam karna tha. Mujhe tum main kuch ajeeb si harkat lagti hai as an actor. Mujhe aisa lagta hai main tumhare saath baithoonga, baat karunga, shayad ek do scene karunga, to woh harkat mujh main aa jayegi aur main better actor ban sakunga. Honestly, Waise hi bahot sare log jo jaante hai tumhe woh maante hai yeh. (I’ve worked a little with you. I worked in Dear Zindagi because I’d wanted to work with you. I find something very strange in your style of acting. And I believe if I work with you, spend time with you, do a couple of scenes with you, I might be able to emulate that style. Honestly, most people who know you agree on this),†Shah Rukh was quoted as saying.
Well, SRK and Alia did make a wonderful pair in the movie, making Dear Zindagi one of the popular movies of 2016.
Currently, Shah Rukh Khan is busy with Anand L Rai's upcoming directorial, while Alia Bhatt will be seen in Raazi opposite Vicky Kaushal.
