Dhadak has been making waves ever since Karan Johar shared the first look of the lead actors Ishaan Khattar and Janvhi Kapoor. The first look was enough to capture the attention of movie buffs who couldn't stop gushing over how cute the two star kids look together.
The upcoming film which will release on July 6, 2018 has something exciting in store for the fans. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Janhvi's mother Sri Devi will make a special appearance in the romantic drama film. The 'Mr. India' actress will reportedly play the mother to her darling daughter in Dhadak.
''The role of the girl's mother in this film is brief but very important. And the woman must look graceful, dignified and be able to express her love for her rebellious daughter and be able to stand up for her against the father who is vehemently opposed to her daughter marrying a boy from a socio-economically backward section. Srideviji will add a completely new dimension to the plot", a source revealed to Deccan Chronicle.Â
The report added that the 'English Vinglish' actress is yet to give her nod for the project.Â

Shashank Khaitan who has helmed rom-coms like 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya' and 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya' is directing the much-awaited film. Dhadak is the Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster 'Sairat' which went on to win the hearts of the audience.
