The sudden demise of Bollywood's first female superstar Sridevi has come as a major jolt for everyone. Ever since the news of Sridevi's death broke, a lot of speculations were made about the reason behind her untimely demise.
Earlier, it was reported that the veteran actress passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest in Dubai. However, soon several theories cropped up suggesting a foul play in Sridevi's death.
But the recent investigation has revealed the real reason behind the diva's demise.
According to the media reports, the actual reason behind Sridevi's death is accidental drowning. This was confirmed by Dubai's police as well.
Dubai Media Office took it to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, "the death of Indian actress Sridevi occurred due to drowning in her hotel apartment’s bathtub following loss of consciousness".
After clearing the procedures, Sridevi's mortal remains were flown down to Mumbai from Dubai and she will be cremated in Vile Parle ground on Wednesday.
Entire Bollywood industry along with thousands of her fans have gathered outside the crematorium to pay their last tribute to Sridevi.
Talking about the late actress' filmy career, Sridevi is known for her commendable performances in movies like Chandni, Nagina, Mr India and Chaalbaaz etc in a career of around five decades in the industry.
She was last seen in Ravi Udyawar's Mom, however, her last movie will be Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero which will hit the screens in December this year.
