Sridevi's untimely death has taken the entire nation with a grave shock and everyone is finding it hard to come in term with the fact the Bollywood has lost its first female superstar.
The diva, who breathed her last on Sunday, was consigned to flames by husband Boney Kapoor.
Indeed, it is a hard time for not just the Kapoor family, but also for Sridevi's close friends who are yet to believe the loss.
In one of her interview to Mid-Day, Sridevi's childhood friend Pinky Reddy, recalled her last conversation with the late actress just before she left for Dubai.
"I spoke to her the day she was leaving for Dubai. She was down with fever and was on antibiotics. She was feeling tired, but she said that she has to go for the wedding," Pinky was quoted as saying.
She further added, "I have seen her professional rise. (Her death) is shocking. We are devastated."
Reportedly, Sridevi died of accidental drowning during her stay in a hotel in Dubai. The diva had gone there to attend the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah.
The media reports suggest that the veteran actress was found in an unconscious state in the bathtub of her hotel room.
Sridevi was cremated at the Vile Parle Crematorium where the celebs and fans gathered to pay their last tribute to the actress.
