The Sky is Pink finally get its release date, Here's when Priyanka Chopra & Farhan Akhtar starrer will hit the big screen

After much guesses for its release date, the Shonali Bose biographical drama, The Sky is Pink finally have its big news. The Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim starrer has been fixed to be released on October 11, 2019. The announcement came as a delight to many of PeeCee fans given the fact that the desi girl has been away from the movie domain in quite a long time apart from her cameo appearance in the recent romantic comedy, ‘Isn’t it Romantic’ starring Rebel Wilson.

From what has been gathered much about the upcoming movie, the plotline of The Sky is Pink flick is reported to revolve around a motivational speaker, Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13, reportedly to be played by Dangal star Zaira Wasim.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote, "Release date finalised... #TheSkyIsPink to release on 11 Oct 2019... Stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim... Directed by Shonali Bose... Produced by RSVP and Roy Kapur Films." 

Speaking about her experience with drama, director Shonali Bose who is also collaborating with Priyanka Chopra for the first time said, "I am filled with wonder and gratitude to be making the film I wanted to make, such a deep and personal story from the depths of my soul - and be so supported every step of the way by my amazing producer and crew. And of course my wonderful actors. Every single person on this film is special and loved by me. How lucky am I."

The film is co-produced Purple Pebble Pictures along with Siddharth Roy Kapur Roy Kapur Films and Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Productions.
