It came as a sweet surprise when it was announced that Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif will be coming together for Remo D Souza’s upcoming dance film, ABCD 3. However, Kat opted out the film due to the gruelling and hectic schedule of Ali Abbas Zafar’s next film, Bharat. Katrina’s official spokesperson had revealed, "Katrina Kaif had to opt out of Remo D'Souza's upcoming dance film owing to her hectic schedule for Bharat. Katrina has always been a thorough professional. She decided to step out of the film as her dates were clashing with Bharat, which she is currently shooting for."
Since then many names such as Jacqueline Fernandez, Kriti Sanon and Sara Ali Khan were doing the rounds for the female lead, but now, the male lead of the movie, Varun Dhawan took to his Twitter to confirm that his ABCD 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor has got on board. The film is all set to go on floors on January 22. As per reports, the first schedule will be shot in Amritsar and film's some portion will be shot in London as well as in Mumbai. The makers apparently may lock November 8, 2019, as the release date of the movie.Shraddha has also confirmed the news. “I’m excited to reunite with Remo sir, Prabhudehva sirand Varun after ABCD 2. This was made possible by Bhushanji who brought us back and believed in this amazing story. It is going to be a lot of hard work for everyone involved but we are all pumped up," Shraddha said.
On the professional front, Shraddha has many projects lined up. She will star in Saho opposite Prabhas. The actress is also playing the titular role of badminton champ Saina Nehwal. She will be teaming up with Sushant Singh Rajput for Chhichhore. On the other hand, Varun recently completed his drama movie Kalank. He will also be seen in Rannbhoomi, which is a Shashank Khaitan directorial.
