Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial venture ‘Padmaavat’ which was supposed to hit the theatres on December 1 will now clash with Akshay Kumar’s PadMan and release on January 25.
Recently, in an interview Akshay Kumar said that he is not at all worried about the clash.
Now, producer of PadMan and wife of Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna finally broke her silence and spoke about the clash, “It’s not pleasant for both and will impact both. But they have also been through enough of their own hurdles. But I wish they would have come a week earlier or a week after us preferably’’.
She further added, ‘’I am sure Mr Bhansali has made a wonderful movie but we are very confident of our content. So, I am not apprehensive, and we are not going to move or anything because we are very happy with what we have’’.
PadMan is based on the life of Padma Shri Arunachalam Muruganantham who is responsible for creating awareness about menstrual hygiene and produced affordable sanitary napkins for women in rural India.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, PadMan also features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles.
