Varun Dhawan has always managed to grab the limelight for his relationship with childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal. From lunch dates to exotic holidays – the lovebirds have been often spotted hanging out together. Since the last couple of months, rumours of them tying the knot have been making the headlines. Now if a report in Timesofindia.com is to believed, they are already engaged. "Varun and Natasha exchanged rings and got engaged in a hush-hush ceremony in 2018. It was an extremely private ceremony with only members of the family present on the occasion. Varun is crazy about Natasha and given the fact that he's one of the biggest stars in the business, the wedding will be a high-profile event," a source close to them told the newspaper.
Speculations was rife that the release date of Varun’s upcoming film, Street Dancer 3D has been pushed to January 2020 because he was marrying Natasha in December. The film was originally supposed to hit the screens in November this year. Varun and Natasha are reportedly expected to tie the knot in accordance with Hindu traditions over three days. They have apparently hired the same wedding planners that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas hired for their wedding in 2018.However, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle in June, Varun rubbished the reports. "It's just not true. I am tired of denying these reports over and over again," he said.
On his relationship with her, Varun said on Karan Johar's chat show, "I’m with her (Natasha) because she has her own individuality, she has her own voice which is super strong with things she wants to do and things she wants to achieve in life. And, as her partner, that is something I want to support, you know. And, she has been so supportive where my career is concerned, always, from day one actually."
During the promotions of his last release, Kalank, Varun Dhawan had told Filmfare that his ladylove is his rock and his anchor. He was quoted as saying, ''She (Natasha) and I went to school together. So, she knows my parents for ages. She’s been attending functions with my parents before also but it wasn’t photographed then. She’s my rock, she’s my anchor. She’s the stabilising factor in my life. It’s pretty much like family.''
