Varun Dhawan has time and again proved his acting chops by juggling with commercial comedy flicks like Judwaa and meaningful, arty ones like Badlapur and October. This time, the 31-year-old actor has been roped in by Aanand L Rai for his next venture.
Aanand L Rai has treated his audience with movies like Tanu Weds Manu but failed to make sparks fly with his last venture Zero staring Shah Rukh Khan. The actor has now overcome Zero's box office failure and now concentrating on his new project.
Filmare reported Varun is in talks with Aanand L Rai and if things fall into place will start working for it after he completes shooting for Street Dancer.
Remo D'Souza's Street Dancer is touted to be the most expensive dance film in Bollywood ever and stars Shraddha Kapoor alongside Varun. The actor is actively sharing his workout sequences for the film. The film will be shot in 3D and converted to 4DX later. The first schedule of the film was shot in Amritsar last month and its final sequence was shot in London. The film is slated to hit the screens on November 8, 2019.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar's most ambitious period drama and Varun's "biggest film till date" Kalank will release on April 19. The movie also features Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in key roles.
