Actress Vidya Balan paid tribute to late actress Sridevi with a revised version of Hawa Hawai in her movie Tumhari Sulu that released in 2018 and now she revealed they she is even ready to essay her in her biopic.
The actress opened up about her wish during an episode of 'Starry Nights 2. Oh! presented by Zee5, reported IANS. "It would require a lot of guts, but as a tribute to Sridevi, I would do it." said the 40-year-old actress.
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta who has directed movies like Shahid, Omerta, Simran has earlier said that if he has to a biopic of Sridevi his first choice will be Vidya.
Vidya has earlier played the lead role in The Dirty Picture, which was inspired by the life of south actress Silk Smitha.
When quizzed about her bold selection of movies she said, Asked about her idea behind the bold role selection, Vidya said: "I was brought up with a feeling that I was the most important person in my life, and I think that's what makes all the difference. When I was offered Ishqiya, I felt that there were very few scripts which had such a juicy role for a woman and when I read it, I absolutely loved it."
Vidya is currently shooting for Mission Mangal that stars Akshay Kumar, Tapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha among others. The film based on India's Mars Orbiter Mission will release on August 15.
