Last year, Rishi Kapoor sent his fans into a frenzy after he announced that he was heading to the US for some medical treatment and would be away from work for a while. Soon after, rumours started doing the rounds suggesting that the veteran actor has been diagnosed with cancer. However, Randhir Kapoor dismissed reports speculating his younger brother has been diagnosed of cancer.
Rishi is often visited by friends and family and recently, Aamir Khan was seen spending quality time with him. Neetu shared an adorable picture with Rishi Kapoor and Aamir on Instagram with a caption that read, "It’s not how many hours one spends with a person it’s how much u give in that time !!! Aamir gave so much n more Love Respect Warmth Laughter !! He is a true superstar."Â

It was just recently when Rishi Kapoor broke silence on the suspense around his illness. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Rishi had said, ''My treatment is on, hopefully I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue.''
The actor was last seen in Netflix's Rajma Chawal, which is a humorous family drama set in New Delhi’s Chandni Chowk. Directed by Leena Yadav, the film also features Anirudh Tanwar, Aparshakti Khurana and Amyra Dastur in pivotal roles.Â
