We are sure everyone remembers Twinkle Khanna. Yes, she is the wife of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and a homemaker but today there is another reason to salute her.

Her column in a newspaper defending ‘AIB Roast’ video has made heads turn. She has written a column on India’s rising intolerance.

In her article, she takes a dig on the hypocritic attitude adopted by Indians. She mentions, “A statue is being built for around Rs 1,900 crore even though only 10% of our children have access to education beyond higher secondary schooling.”

She also states that in India, we beep a song for using the term Bombay while on the other hand a politician gets away for abusing somebody.

But AIB Roast programme, where the guests gave their consent, have to deal with numerous FIRs.

In her words she wrote, “If I had to be offended by a live show I would rather be offended by Arnab who invites people on his show and then doesn’t let them speak. I saw an episode where he is asking the education minister a question and then screaming over her answers.

Now that’s just bad manners, at least in the AIB roast they called guests over, let them say their bit, people laughed and went home. But we still have to get outraged even though they had made it clear that the show is for adults only.”

The actress has also received a standing oviation from actress Priyanka Chopra who wrote on Twitter, "Such imperative questions! Well done."

Well, Twinkle hats off for your fiery article; as you say, "Worthy battles to fight"!!!
