Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shoots for Pulwama attack tribute song, 'Tu Desh Mera'

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shoots for Pulwama attack tribute song, 'Tu Desh Mera'

After Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has joined the tribute song for the CRPF personnel martyred in Pulwama attack in February this year. The actress has recemtly shot for the video donning a white emboidered anarkali and bindi.

The song is helmed by Happy Productions India shared a picture of the Jazbaa actress shooting for the song on their Twitter handle. They wrote, "#AishwaryaRaiBachchan recently shot for the Tribute Song for the Martyrs of #Pulwama For which @SrBachchan @aamir_khan #RanbirKapoor @TheAaryanKartik etc have already shot. (sic)"

 

 

Titled Tu Desh Mera, the four-minute song also features Kartik Aaryan amongst other 13 actors who were approached to shoot for the tribute video.

Talking about getting Aishwarya on board, Abhishek Mishra, MD, Happy Productions India, told Times Of India, "We are really happy to share that along with other major Bollywood stars, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has also supported and recently shot with us and will be featuring in the song 'Tu Desh Mera', which is a tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama."

On February 14, a convoy of CRPF jawans was attacked by a suicide bomber in Pulwama, leaving 40 soldiers dead. The incident resulted in outrage and international condemnation. Following that, tensions grew between India and Pakistan which resulted in counter strike from the Indian Air Force in the PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir).Several Bollywood actors expressed their disgust over the incident and mourned for the death of the soldiers.Actor Amitabh Bachchan donated Rs 5 lakh each to the families of 40 CRPF troppers. In retaliation, India performed Balakot surgical strike on February 26.

However, he acknowledged, "at the same time, I respect Theresa and she would certainly know the facts a lot better than I know them".
