Ranveer Singh has set husband goals time and again like no other Bollywood celebrity. After Deepika Padukone confirmed reports of joining Kabir Khan's '83, Ranveer aka Kapil Dev in the movie today through a post informed fans about 'wifey' joining the '83 squad.
Sharing a photo of the trio, Ranveer, Kabir and Deepika Ranveer captioned the photo, "Who better to play My wifey than My wifey?!"
Indeed there's no actress better than Deepika who we can think about doing justice to the role of legendary cricketer Kapil dev's wife, Romi Dev.

Ranveer Singh has been preparing for the role for much time now from cricket sessions from Kapil Dev to spending time with him. Now even Deepika too will spend some time with Romi to understand her point of view during the '83 frenzy. Two two are now at Glasglow shooting for the movie.
Like Kapil Dev, Deepika's father, Prakash Padukone, former Indian badminton player, is also one of the renowned faces of the sports fraternity and the actress's family share a good relationship with Kapil Dev and his family. Touted to be the “biggest sports film†of the country, ‘83 is slated to hit the screens on 10 April 2020 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It marks the first-ever trilingual release for both, Ranveer Singh and director Kabir Khan.
