Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap turned a year older today and the actor posted a heartfelt note for her on this special occasion. "Tahira means pure and virtuous. That’s what you are. This was your first year in mumbai and in my life in this city. Santosh humara pehla house help chutti pe gaya hua tha and we had spent the entire day cleaning the house. Tum aayi aur duniya badal gayi meri. You changed my perspective towards life and love. Tahira means pure and virtuous. That’s what you are. Happy bday love," Ayushmann wrote.
Ayushmann and Tahira partied with friends last night, including Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Katrina Kaif, Twinkle Khanna and more. Tahira shared pictures of the party on Instagram.
The adorable couple recently jetted off on a vacation. Ayushmann shared pictures of them enjoying the sun at a beach in the Bahamas.
In 2018, Tahira was diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer. She battled with the disease and came out as a winner. Speaking about his wife’s battle against cancer and what she means to him, Ayushmann had told HT Brunch, ''She’s the most important person and the source of my inspiration. Tahira’s not just a life partner but my life coach – she has inspired me on how to live my life and face my struggles and challenges. So why not just give her the centre-stage? She deserves to be there!''
Meanwhile, the trailer of Ayushmann's upcoming film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was recently released.The actor is playing a homosexual character in the film. It was well-received by the audience. Sharing his excitement for his role, Ayushmann recently said, "It is a beautiful story told in the quintessential Aanand L Rai style of filmmaking that will touch your hearts and leave a smile on your face."
He further added, "It is one of the most brilliant films that I have read in a long time and it handles the subject of homosexuality really sensitively. It is a pleasure to collaborate again with the master storyteller of our times. It is an out and out entertaining film that will also make you think and that’s the hallmark of good cinema."
Written and helmed by Hitesh Kewalya, the film is being produced by Aanand L Rai. It will hit the screens on February 21, 2020.
