The much-awaited trailer of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan featuring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role has finally hit the internet. In the film, Ayushmann will be seen playing the role of a gay man for the first time opposite Kota Factory star Jitendra Kumar. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan also features Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Manurishi Chaddha, Sunita Rajwar, Maanvi Gagroo, Pankhuri Awasthy and Neeraj Singh in pivotal roles.
Ayushmann took to his Twitter account to share the trailer. ''Jeetega pyaar, maanega pura parivaar! #ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan trailer out now!,'' he wrote.
Before the trailer release, Ayushmann also shared a new poster for the film on Monday morning to announce the trailer release time. The poster showed Jitendra dressed like a groom and Ayushmaan sitting in his lap, posing for the camera. Meanwhile, other family members are trying to drag Jitendra back to their side.
Bhumi Pednekar will also make a special appearance in the film. Talking about having Bhumi in the film, producer A Aanand L Rai told IANS: "Bhumi is a part of 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' family and we couldn't imagine making 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' without her. She has a very special appearance in the narrative and we are extremely happy to have her on board.''

While the 2017 Shubh Mangal Saavdhan touched the not-discussed often topic-erectile dysfunction, the second instalment will feature a homosexual love story. The plot of the film revolves around how a conservative family comes to terms with the fact that their son is gay.
Ayushmann Khurrana recently shared his excitement for his role, "It is a beautiful story told in the quintessential Aanand L Rai style of filmmaking that will touch your hearts and leave a smile on your face." He further added, "It is one of the most brilliant films that I have read in a long time and it handles the subject of homosexuality really sensitively. It is a pleasure to collaborate again with the master storyteller of our times. It is an out and out entertaining film that will also make you think and that’s the hallmark of good cinema."
Written and helmed by Hitesh Kewalya, the film is being produced by Aanand L Rai. It will hit the screens on February 21, 2020.
