Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap had revealed about her diagnosis with “stage 0†breast cancer earlier in September 2018 and undergone a mastectomy procedure. So far, the actor has undergone many sessions of chemotherapy. The actor-turned-director kept sharing her journey while battling cancer till now.
However, things are shaping up fine for the star couple and Tahira is now declared cancer free. The director recently took to her Instagram handle to share her pictures ditching her hair extensions.
Tahira shared her bald look on her Instagram handle and owned it like a boss. She posed in the pictures in a blue sweatshirt and big sunglasses.“Hello world! That’s a new me with the old self! Was getting tired of the extensions, so this is how it is and it’s so liberating in every sense of the word, so much so that I don’t have to duck the shower while bathing or while picking up the soap! I never thought I would go bald, was stretching my time with the good ol’ cap for too long. But this feels so good #breastcancerawareness #baldisbeautiful #selflovenomatterwhat,†she captioned the pictures.
The couple has been vocal about their struggle and has remained hopeful and brave about it from the start. Ayushmann, being the versatile actor, but many folds a companion, won the hearts of his fans and friends last year when he declared he will be fasting for the good health and long life of his wife Tahira Kashyap this Karwa Chauth.Â
On September 22, Tahira revealed that she has been detected with pre-invasive breast cancer. She posted on Instagram that she was detected with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) in her right breast with high-grade malignant cells. “Simply put stage 0 cancer/pre-cancerous stage, with cancer cells multiplying in a contained area."
Ayushmann who is flying high with the success of his two recent hits, Andhadhun, and Badhai Ho, has proved himself to be a darling and supportive husband from time and again. The couple has been married since 2011 and has a 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter.
