Salman Khan is on a record breaking spree. In an era when content driven films rules the most and stardom fades away, Salman Khan continues to stay relevant making huge business at box-office with melodramatic plots, high octane action sequences and patriotic twists.
Bharat which has already become Salman Khan's biggest Eid is knocking doors at the 100 cr club even before the release weekend had begun. Although their was marginal fall in the box office collections on day 3 but the movie managed to clock Rs 22.3 crore. This brings the total income of Bharat close to Rs 95 crore in three days. As we file this story we expect Bharat to cross Rs 100 crore already.
According to Bollywood business analysts Taran Adarsh, the business will grow steadily by the weekend. Salman Khan also is official the Bollywood actor to have highest number of films in the 100 crore club. The tally rises to 14 with Bharat. Salman now has 3 movies in Rs 300 crore club that includes Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger Zinda Hai, 2 in Rs 200 crore club and 9 in Rs 100 crore club.
The movie grossed record breaking 42.30cr on Day one which was also the occassion of Eid and widely observed as a holiday and became the biggest opener of 2019 after Kesari. Released in 4700 screens across India, Bharat has managed to get a bumper opening. Bharat also became Salman's first movie to be released in Saudi Arabia.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover in prominent roles.
Salman's upcoming movie Inshallah with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Alia will release on Eid 2020.
