Mahesh Anand, popular 90s Bollywood villain, passes away at 57

Mahesh Anand, popular onscreen villain from 1980s to 1990s, passed away on Saturday. Mahesh Anand was 57. He has worked in many hit Bollywood movies including Coolie No 1, Swarg, Kurukshetra, Shahenshah, Vijeta and many more. He has shared screen space with superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Dharmendra and many others. The cause of his death is not clear yet and reportedly his body has been taken to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.

According to reports, Mahesh Anand was facing some financial crisis. In an interview to Cinestaan.com, the actor revealed that he didn’t have movie offers for 18 years and at that time he used to take part in wrestling matches in order to earn money. His last movie was Rangeela Raja released in January this year. On Facebook, he had written: "im happy after 18 years i had onne movie released today,,,,rangeela raja,,,,,,,, i am just therefor 6 minutes in the end,,, hope you all will welcome me back." 

Mahesh Anand's body was found in a decomposed state at his residence in Andheri's Yaari Road, police said. He had been living alone as his wife stays in Moscow, the police added.
