These are the songs that talk about system, inflation and the working of the government. So dear India, whatever happens in the Interim Budget, these songs will bring cheer to you. So, sit back and enjoy! 

1. Sabse Bada Rupaiya (1976):

The title song of the film Sabse Bada Rupaiya talks about the power of money and is inspired by the music of the Hollywood musical 42nd Street (1933). The lyrics of the song says that one is not born in the world because of their parents, but for money. Composed by Basu-Manohari, the song gets life from the vocal prowess of Mehmood Ali, who adds to the spirit of the song

2. Paisa Bolta Hai, Kala Bazaar (1989):



Paisa Bolta Hai acts as the introduction track for corrupt clerk Kimtilal (Kader Khan) and his deputy Kutti (Johnny Lever). Crooned by Nitin Mukesh, the song is notable for Khan’s superb dancing skills and acting chops. The music is by Rajesh Roshan and the lyrics are by Payam Sayeedi. 

3. Mehangai Maar Gayi, Roti, Kapda Aur Makaan (1974):



The song from Roti, Kapda Aur Makaan talks about the impact of inflation on the society and has been beautifully sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Mukesh, Chanchal, and Jani Babu Qawwal. The song features Moushumi Chatterjee and Manoj Kumar, and focuses on the poverty and inflation.

4. Mehangai Dayain Khaye Jaat Hai, Peepli Live (2010):



Crooned by Raghubir Yadav and composed by Ram Sampat, the song talks about inflation and how it is affecting people. It was also embroiled in a series of controversies with some alleging that the song had a political motive. 

5. Salam Kijiye, Aandhi (1975):



The song from the Indian political drama, Aandhi talks about the government and corruption in the society. The song has been crooned by Amit Kumar, Bhupinder Singh and Mohammed Rafi. The song has been composed by Rahul Dev Burman and written by Gulzar.
