New Delhi:

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are one of the most adorable couples in B-town. The two met on the sets of their film Goliyon Ke Rasleela Ram Leela and they dated for around six years before tying the knot at Lake Como in Italy in November last year. In a recent interview, Deepika revealed an interesting anecdote about her bachelorette party. In an interview to Harper’s Bazaar India, the actress said, ''I’ve always been an old soul. In today’s context I could be considered a weird person. When I was on my bachelorette, I did laundry twice a day, so I suppose I am weird.''

Talking about how things have changed post the wedding, she said, ''I am extremely intuitive, vulnerable and sensitive. For years, I kept all of it within me but now I express things more. I’ve always been an old soul.''

''A lot of what I’m able to achieve is because of (Ranveer) — in terms of how comfortable he’s been with my success, or how supportive he is. We’re a good team. We’re still so excited by each other, so inspired by each other. He’s my best friend,'' she added.

Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in November 2018, in a secret dual-ceremony in Italy’s Lake Como. They hosted grand receptions upon their return to India.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are reuniting for the first time onscreen after their wedding with Kabir Khan’s upcoming sports drama, 83. The actress is playing Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia in the film, which sees Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev. In a recent interview with Asian Age, Deepika opened on why she chose to portray Romi Bhatia's character on the big screen.

"I play the role of Romi Dev, wife of Kapil Dev in the movie and she was instrumental in Kapil Dev’s success, especially when he was the captain. She was part of the support system and I feel connected to that. I always feel that in an athlete’s life the wife and family sacrifice a lot of their own dreams to support the vision of the athlete, the goals that they set and they end up sacrificing their own career. I have seen it in my own family. My mother had been supportive to my father in his career. I think to see the human side, to see what an important role family play in success of athlete I took up this role," she said.

Apart from 83, Deepika will be also seen in Chhapaak. The film, which is directed by Meghna Gulzar, is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
