Akshay Kumar is currently basking in the success of his last release, Housefull 4. The film has entered the Rs 200 crore club. After Housefull 4, the actor is all set to star in Good Newwz along with Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. A photo of Akshay is now doing the rounds on social media where he can be seen wearing the same sweatshirt in his films - Housefull 4 and Good Newwz.
In one photo, he can be seen standing with Kriti Sanon (Housefull 4) and in another, he can be seen with Kareena Kapoor Khan (Good Newwz).
While one user wrote, ''Was there a budget constraint'', another wrote, ''Was he shooting for both the movies on the same day?''
Housefull 4 released on October 25 and went on to become the highest grosser of the Housefull franchise. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde and Chunkey Pandey in prominent roles.
Talking about Good Newwz, the plot of the film revolves araround two married couples and their journey of love. Akshay and Kareena are seen as Mr. and Mrs. Batra, trying to conceive a baby. On the other hand, Diljit and Kiara too, who share the same surname, also plan to have a baby through IVF. And the real twist comes when Kareena’s eggs are fertilized with Diljit’s sperm and Kiara’s eggs are fertilized with Akshay’s sperm.
Good Newwz brings Akki and Bebo together on the screen 11 years after their 2009 release Kambakkht Ishq. The film has been produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Akshay's Cape of Good Films. It is slated to hit the theatres on December 27.
