Dostana 2 is all ready for filming and Janhvi Kapoor recently went to Amirtsar to kickstart its first schedule. Recently Kartik Aaryan took to Instgram to announce the shoot for the film in Chandigarh and shared a small instance where he is seen seeking the blessing of his producer the Dharma Production scion Karan Johar.
Calling it ‘Dharma Rivaaz’ that every actor has to go through as they are headed out for the shoot Kartik is seen touching Karan Johar’s feet dressed in casuals. Recently Janhvi Kapoor shared pictures of her tour to Amritsar were she visited the Golden temple and relished Punjabi cuisine and lassi.
On June 27th, the production house made a formal announcement with a tweet that reads, "Taking the iconic franchise forward! Presenting #Dostana2, starring @TheAaryanKartik, #Janhvi & a suitable boy, announcing soon! Directed by @collinDcunha. Let the madness roll!"
Taking about the same, Karan told Bombay Times, "I am excited to take the Dostana franchise forward with Kartik and Janhvi, and can’t wait to create some desi boy-girl madness with them. This is Dharma Productions’ (his banner) first film with Kartik and we are looking forward to working with him. We will also be introducing a new male lead, who will join the incredible talent at our production house. Collin D’Cunha also makes his directorial debut with Dostana 2."
The 2008 movie was directed by Tarun Mansukhani and starred Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in lead roles. The comedy flick was woven around the life of two men (Abhishek and John) who pretend to be homosexual to share an apartment with a girl (Priyanka) and eventually fall in love with her.Kartik 's list of upcoming films already boast of big names like Imtiaz Ali's next directorial alongside Sara Ali Khan and the remake of Pati Patni Aur Woh with Ananya Panday and Bhumi Padnekar alongside.
