'Good News' hits floor with Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, Kareena Kapoor-Akshay Kumar to join soon

Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh have commenced shooting for Karan Johar’s production Good News on Friday. While these actors have already touched the floors, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor will soon join the cast and crew. Karan took to his Twitter handle on Friday to announce the beginning of their new journey.

The filmmaker wrote, “#GOODNEWS starts today with @diljitdosanjh and @Advani_Kiara !! @akshaykumar and #KareennaKapoorKhan will join soon! Fun times begin under the baton of debut director @raj_a_mehta !!! @DharmaMovies @apoorvamehta18.”

The Lust Stories actor also tweeted a video of herself along with Diljit holding the film’s clapboard. “Have you heard the news today???! Chill... It’s all GOOD NEWS! @raj_a_mehta @diljitdosanjh and I are Missing you @akshaykumar Sir #KareenaKapoorKhan @karanjohar @ShashankKhaitan see you all soon! @DharmaMovies #capeofgoodfilms ,” wrote the actor.

Kiara later posted a picture with Diljit and director Raj Mehta. She captioned the picture as, “With my super fun costar @diljitdosanjh and the captain of the ship our amazing director @raj_a_mehta Thankyou guys for all your good wishes Day 1 was amaze! .”

Diljit also shared the same video and revealed how happy he is to have his dream come true of working with his favourite production house.

Karan’s upcoming project is a family drama in which Akshay-Kareena and Diljit-Kiara portray the roles of married couples trying for a baby. Directed by Raj Mehta and produced under the banner of Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, Good News is slated to hit the theatres on July 19, 2019.
