Maharashtrians are celebrating Gudi Pawda with much zeal and enthusiasm.  This festival observed every spring marks the onset of the new year.  While Gudi Padwa is the Maharashtrian new year, Ugadi is the New Year's Day for the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Amitabh Bachchan, who was last seen in Badla alongside Taapsee Pannu and will next star in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, took to social media to wish his fans. Along with colourful graphics for the auspicious occasion, Big B wrote, “Happy Gudi Padwa greetings .. greetings too for Chaitr - Shukl , for the Navratre to follow .. for the beginning of a new year as per our ancient Calendar !”

With an adorable message for his fans, Aamir Khan shared a beautiful photograph with his wife Kiran Rao. In the photo, both Aamir and Kiran seem to be deeply engrossed in the traditional Puja ceremony. 

 

Bhumi Padnekar dressed in a traditional green saree too gave her fans and followers warm wishes of the festival.
