There is speculation that Rajinikanth's next film with director Pa Ranjith will be based on the life of Mumbai late underworld don Haji Mastan Mirza but as of now sunder Shekhar, man claiming to be late Haji Mastan’s adopted son has sended a notice to Rajinikanth wher he has asked the actor not to depict Mastan as a smuggler & don.
In a video message he said “Mr Rajinikanth, it is good that you have decided to make a film on Haji Mastan. But remember if Haji Mastan’s image is projected as a villain in your upcoming movie, then you (Rajinikanth) and your team have to pay the price. Our party workers will not leave you, they will create some trouble for youâ€.Â
He also warned actor through a letter saying “Depicting him as smuggler and underworld don is highly unacceptable and defamatory. He was never convicted in any court for smuggling or underworld activities,â€.

Haji Mastan Mirza, who hailed from Tamil Nadu was a businessman and founder of Bharatiya Minorities Suraksha Mahasangh. However, the letter and the video are being monitored by Mumbai police officials but the cops have not issued any statement.
