India’s Bollywood's playback queen Asha Bhosle, arguably India's first pop star also known as Ashaji. Asha Bhosle started her career in 1943 and has spanned over six decades. Asha Bhosle on Thursday turned 83 years done.Asha Bhosle made her Hindi film debut from the song "Saawan Aaya" for Hansraj Behl's Chunariya in the year 1948.
Asha Bhosle has not only sung in Hindi but apart from it she has sung in over 20 Indian and foreign languages.She has been awarded with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 by Government of India
