It was on Koffee with Karan that Sara Ali Khan revealed that she finds Kartik Aaryan cute and would want to go on a date with him. Ever since the two have been a part of rumours mills. Later the duo signed a film together and started shooting for Aaj Kal directed by Imtiaz Ali. Post the wrap of the film, the two shared heartfelt posts for each other which made their fans completely awestruck. Now recently it was reported that the two lovebirds have broken up and since then Kartik has been spotted hanging out with his co-star Ananya Panday.
When asked about his reported breakup with Sara, Kartik replied, ''Do rotiyan Ananya ke sath tod li, toh sabne puch liya. I did an ad with Mr. Bachchan and shared it on Instagram that it was on my bucket list. But no one asked me about it.'' On being further prodded, the actor avoided the question and went on to talk about his work.
Kartik and Sara allegedly started dating on the sets of their forthcoming film Aaj Kal. The two were also often seen expressing their fondness for each other on the social media.The two reportedly parted ways as they were unable to take out time for each other because of their busy work schedule.
Meanwhile, the trailer of Kartik’s next Patni Patni Aur Who hit the internet on Monday and shows his character caught between his wife and girlfriend. Kartik Aaryan plays the role of Chuntu Tyagi, the ‘adarshwadi’ pati and government employee who is married to Bhumi Pednekar's character while Ananya is the 'Woh' in this crazy equation.
While many lauded the trailer for its quirky dialogue and comic timing, some got irked by one particular dialogue that talks about marital rape. The film is slated to release on 6 December, 2019.
On the other hand, Sara will be next seen opposite Varun Dhawan in Coolie No 1, a remake of the 1995 original film by the same name which was directed by David Dhawan himself.
