Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor made an exciting entry to Bollywood with their film Dhadak. The on-screen chemistry with off-chemistry fun was much applauded and appreciated by the audiences. While the duo looked inseparable, rumours of them dating started making rounds. However, both the actors have clearly denied the rumours and assured that they are just ‘good friends’.
Janhvi had earlier cleared the air about her rumoured beau Ishaan, that the two are not dating, on celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan. Meanwhile, Ishaan too has revealed the same. In a conversation with PinkVilla, the actor stated, and as the website quoted, “He didn’t joke about it but asked the question on a serious note. He generally puts everyone under the scanner. I spoke to him (about dating Janhvi) on the show. The episode will air soon.â€
Ishaan will soon share the popular Koffee couch with his elder brother Shahid Kapoor. The actor is the son of actors Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khatter. The Dhadak star made his Bollywood debut with Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds, a few months ahead of his Dhadak release.
Janhvi recently was a guest to Karan’s talk show with her brother Arjun Kapoor. The rising star had then clearly denied of the rumoured dating. However, big brother Arjun was quick to mention how Ishaan continues to hover around her all the time.
Earlier, in an interview to Hindustan Times, Janhvi had spoken about Ishaan, “Till now, he is the only person I have worked with, and it was easy to team up with him because I think we get along really well. Also, as an actor, I am in awe of him and the way he approaches his scenes. Plus, he has great energy (as an actor), and it is probably because he is new too. But what helped me a lot was the fact that he is (a) more experienced (actor) than me.â€
