Janhvi Kapoor is keeping no stones unturned to bring out the best in her for the upcoming film based on IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena, the combat pilot who was a part of the Kargil War 1999.

After matching her looks with the pilot, she is now all set to take professional training in the Kargil War in 1999.
A source close to the development told a leading daily, "She went through a few look tests a couple of months ago but her real test begins now. She will now take flying lessons, which is going to be the most challenging part. She will begin her training in a week’s time."

The film produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has also roped in Karwaan star Dulquer Salmaan to play the male lead in the film.

Gunjan made history as she flew into the war zone breaking norms that women flyers cannot be seen in combat roles. She was later bestowed with the Shaurya Chakra, an Indian military decoration awarded for valour, courageous action or self-sacrifice while not engaged in direct action with the enemy.

Angad Bedi has been roped in for the role of Gunjan's brother Anshuman Saxena in the film. Janhvi and Angad were spotted shooting in Lucknow over the weekend. Stree actor Pankaj Tripathi will play Gunjan's father in the biopic. The film will be directed by Sharan Sharma, 

The film finished shooting for its first schedule in Lucknow on March 2. The crew will then return to Mumbai. For the second schedule, they will be back in Lucknow in April.

Janhvi made her debut with Ishan Khatter in Dhadak, which is a Hindi remake of Marathi film Sairat. 

Janhvi Kapoor will also be seen in Karan Johar directed movie, Takht and will be seen alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor, among others. The big-budget multi-starrer epic saga is slated for a 2020 release.
