It's that time of year when India unites to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami, the festival that marks the birth of Lord Krishna with Dahi Handi, Gokulashtami puja and Govinda Aala Re chants. Like every year, Govinda teams gather at Mumbai and Thane's Dahi Handi events form human pyramids and break the pot amidst loud cheer and music.
Bollywood celebs too marked the occasion by sharing Janmasthami wishes and pictures in festive look. Shah Rukh Khan who has taken a break from acting in films is making frequent public appearances and recently turned Govinda at a Dahi Handi event in Mumbai.
The actor sitting on the shoulder of a person to reach for the handi and then breaks it with a coconut amidst loud cheers.
The actor was earlier that day at an event at Bandra Railway station where he revealed that he has romanced with many girls on railway stations but not any on Bandra station.
Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty too celebrated Krishna Janmasthamia t her residence where his little one Vivvan Raj turned Govinda. The actress recently started shooting for her comeback movie Nikamma with Abhimanyu Dassani.
