Shahid Kapoor today shared a new poster from his upcoming film, Kabir Singh, a remake of hit Telugu movie Arjun Reddy. Shahid captioned the Instagram post saying, ''Kabir Singh out in two months.... June 21. Wait for it." The 38-year-old actor, who will be playing the titular role in the film, can be seen sporting a rugged look in poster. Shahid can be seen wearing dark glasses and smoke swirling around him.Â

In the film, Shahid Kapoor plays the role of a surgeon but suffers from anger management issues. A few weeks ago, the teaser of Kabir Singh hit the Internet and it received great reviews from fans and several Bollywood stars.

In an earlier interview, Shahid had said that recreating a film which is still fresh in people’s minds is a demanding job. "Creating a remake is damn tough. You have loved it for what it was but you can't go out there and copy it. It has to be a rediscovery," he told a news agency.
"The original was Arjun Reddy, based in Hyderabad and Bangalore. This is Kabir Singh, which is based in Delhi and Mumbai. May be Arjun and Kabir are cousins but they are not the same person. My journey is only to find Kabir Singh," he had said. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga who also helmed Arjun Reddy. Kiara Advani will be seen playing Shahid Kapoor's love interest.Â
