Mumbai:
Bollywood actress Kajol, who was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dilwale' in 2015, is making her way to Tollywood now.
She has been roped on for the much awaited Tamil movie 'VIP 2' starring southern star Dhanush in the lead. The movie happens to be the sequel of 2014 release 'VIP'.
The announcement was made by the producers in an official statement, saying "Kajol will act with Dhanush for the first time. She is acting in Tamil after a long gap".
Dhanush, who is producing the film with 'Kabali' producer 'Kalaipuli' S Thanu, has penned the story and dialogue while Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya is the director.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Kajol will be featured in a Tamil movie 'Minsara Kanavu', starring Prabhu Deva and Aravind Swamy.
'VIP 2' went on floors today with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, also Dhanush's father-in-law, initiating the proceedings. Amala Paul, who played Dhanush's lady love in the first part and senior actors Vivek, Saranya Ponvannan and Samuthrakani are also starring in 'VIP2'.
