New Delhi:

Kangana Ranaut is surely a multi-tasker. The actress just wrapped the shoot for Mental Hai Kya opposite Rajkummar Rao and now is shooting for Panga, soon Jayalalitha biopic will go on floors. Even after having so much in her plate, Bollywood's highest-paid actress is now taking forward her persuit for donning the director's hat with an action drama.

After successfully directing and acting in Manikarnika: The Quen of Jhansi, kangana will next direct an action thril, poaster of which will release soon. The 32 year old actress talking to DNA said, "I’m on the verge of announcing my next directorial venture. It’s an action film — an epic drama. It has taken a lot of my time. Currently, we are putting everything in order, but we have locked the script. We’ll be doing a photoshoot, soon after, which we plan to release the poster, too,”

Action epic dramas like the Baahubali films, the last few Sanjay Leela Bhansali films and even Kangana’s last – Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has earned much applause from movie buffs and critics in recent times and has also been commercially successful.

But according to the actress, her directorial venture will be different from the ones we have already seen on the big-screen. “It’s based on a real-life story, which I’m fascinated by,” said Kangana.

Sources had earlier reported that Kangana's much-anticipated biopic is on the way, but seems like that will take some time as she gears up for an action film now. It will be indeed a brave feat for the Queen actress to dive into a field dominated by male directors.
