Following an exhaustive night dancing their night away in Guwahati for Filmfare, Kartik Aarayn uploaded a picture of himself with Ranveer Singh resting on his back which he captioned, ‘Love Aaj Kal 2030 with Ranveer Singh’. To make it even more interesting, Kartik also added a Rantik hashtag, a hashtag Sara and Kartik fans have given to the two rumoured lovers, Sartik. The jest post in no time drew the attention of Sara Ali Khan who starred alongside Kartik in Love Aaj Kal.
‘That was a quick replacement’ Sara replied to the post.
Kartik’s post for the hypothetical movie for 2030 starring two male stars also drew the attention of Ayushmann Khurrana, who will be starring in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, a rom-com movie on two male lovers with Jitendra Kumar as Ayushmann’s love-interest. #ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan on 21st Feb’ the Andhadhun star replied on Kartik’s post.
As for the current Love Aaj Kal, the movie managed to open at Rs 12.4 crore at the box office windows on day one. However, on day 2, the movie witnessed a slump on Day 2 as it could manage to earn just Rs 8.01 crore making an overall of Rs.27 crore over the first weekend.
